In 2022 The Master of Ceremonies, rural journalist Ashley Walmsley, aka ‘The Ringer’, kept the large crowd entertained with politically correct versions of well-known children’s books such as The Hungry Caterpillar and the Little Engine That Could, in addition to a full episode of Landline in four minutes.

With the Clifford Park Twilight Races providing the backdrop, the ball was a great opportunity for people to network and catch up with old friends and make new ones. After the official duties were over “Preserve the Moose” provided the music for everyone to kick up their heals, let their hair down and dance the night away.

The annual Charity Beef-Up Auction was another highlight of the night with top quality meat being donated by Stockyard Beef, AACo, NH Foods, Mort and Co and Kilcoy Global Foods. Over $7000 was raised by the auction for charities such as Dolly’s Dream, Royal Flying Doctors Service, Channel Country Ladies Day, Rural Aid and Beyond Blue
