Ignite Weekend of Training

Helping improve skills of women in the industry

A weekend of skill building

A Women of Lot Feeding IGNITE Training Program was held on he 5th of November at the Bunya Mountains with 18 young lot feeding women attending. It was pleasing to see its return following its inaugural delivery back in 2019.

WOLF President Kym Ryan welcomed the young lotfeeders who had travelled from as far Victoria, NSW, Marlborough, Roma, Brisbane and everywhere in between.

While the training focused primarily on leadership development and improving their confidence, other training was on offer.

BMO accountants from Dalby offered an insight into the importance of Corporate Governance from a financial perspective, making the most of tax returns and the importance of understanding superannuation. Much discussion occurred regarding lost superannuation and how to get the best tax return.

Highfields Toastmasters offered their expertise on how to get over the fear of public speaking. Over the weekend the ladies had ample opportunity to hone their skills while utilising the Toastmasters techniques.
